He lives in a dark cave in the cliff wall near the Aragain Falls for 800 years. He is dressed in a tattered robe and his scraggly beard reaches the ground.

He hadn't come out of his cave for 30-40 years until he heard some noise, followed by the appearance of two children, Bivotar and Juranda, whom he mistakes for lovers. The kids explained they are looking for their uncle, and he offered them to borrow his boat, if they wanted to sail down the river. The kids just thank him and just follow the hoofprints leading upstream along the bank on foot.
