Krill

Krill was a powerful warlock.

He is a described as an evil, humanoid creature robed in black, with red eyes and talons instead of fingers.

Forces of Krill[]

Krill emerged during the decandent, last days of the Flatheads. Not even Syovar, the warrior-wizard, was able to stop him. He captured his nephews, Bivotar and Juranda, and the following 200 years he attacked the villages with his lizardmen and cast spells, cursing the weather and the crops around the Land of Frobozz, causing villages to be deserted. Syovar and his knight Ellron led their forces against him but without the Sword of Zork, Syovar was unable to defeat him.

Krill as syovar

Upon the return of Bivotar and Juranda with the sword, it was learned that Krill amassed his forces beyond the Flood Control Dam and they moved against him. His forces routed Syovar, and they retreated to their und erground bas in the coal mine below the White House. They traced them even there, and they fled. Knowing that the two kids carry the Sword of Zork, he took the form of Syovar in order to make them deliver it to him (and the three Palantirs) and pretended to be with his knights in the base. However the kids realized he was an imposter as he was not wearing the Ring of Zork, and they fled them; with that, he took his real form and sent his lizard warriors to take the kids.

Syovar vs Krill

The kids escaped to the White House, and Krill's armies, 10,000 strong, surrounded it, where Syovar, Ellron and their knights were concentrated. Syovar used the palantirs to summon the Warriors of Zork and a battle began. Krill's armies were like a foul black sea, himself towering above them, like a dark cloud hiding the sun. Behind them, stretching to the horizon, summoned by the power of the Palantirs, stand the legendary Warriors of Zork, clothed in white tunics and shiny battle armor.

Dark storm clouds formed, and during the battle, lightning streaks down into the heart of the battle; giant fireballs plunged and exploded, while a fierce wind whips across the trees and sweeping horses off their feet. His armies were losing to the Warriors. With an explosion like thunder, Krill appeared before Syovar, his sword drawn, and challenged him to a duel. Syovar fought him with the Sword of Zork, but although he was a better swordsman, Krill used tricks and pyrotechnics to distract him.

Krill managed to sink his blade deep into his side; he was preparing for a final blow, but the Sword came to life, and met Krill's attack, who fell back, stunned, allowing Syovar to plunge his blade deep into his heart. Before dying he tried to whisper a powerful curse, and his body disappeared in a giant puff of unwholesome smoke.

Return[]

He plotted to overthrow the Circle of Enchanters and enslave the kingdom in the 940s. He always wore black and his yellow eyes were the only visible part of his body.

He launched his evil plan from the castle Largoneth, where he and his misshapen followers built a huge, primitive evil temple where Krill would regularly engage in human sacrifice.

The mage Belboz knew that a powerful Enchanter would easily be detected and destroyed by Krill, so the Guild of Enchanters sent a novice to vanquish their foe.

Krill, in his arrogance, overlooked the source of his eventual downfall (with the help of a turtle) and was banished to another plane of existence
