Mir Yannick was the Grand Inquisitor and ruler of Quendor from 1047 to 1067 GUE. Yannick banned magic and instituted strict new rules and propaganda, totemizing anyone who defied the Inquisition. Cementing his power, he seized control of the Frobozz Magic Company and converted it into the Frobozz Electric Company, supplying electromechanical contraptions—of often dubious quality, reliability, practicality or effectiveness—to be used in place of the spells, potions and enchanted artefacts upon which the Empire formerly ran. In 1067 GUE, his government was overthrown by AFGNCAAP and Dalboz of Gurth, and he was replaced as ruler by Lucy Flathead.
In Zork: Grand Inquisitor, he was played by Erick Avari.

- Yannick is presumed to have been killed by falling off of a broadcast tower (as seen in the ending of Zork: Grand Inquisitor), although due to a long life spell cast upon him by Dalboz many years earlier, he may have survived.
