The Three Palantirs of Zork are magical crystal spheres coveted by Krill. Apparently some of their properties included summoning the Warriors of Zork.
They had been hidden in a hollow space behind a wall of the Flood Control Dam #3 control room, placed on a rotten beam.
Over a century ago the only map showing their location was stolen. It was found more than a century later on the remains of a deceased adventurer by Bivotar and Juranda near the Flood Control Dam #3. They noticed that the corner showing their exact location was damaged.
The two kids discovered the palantirs when Bivotar was experimenting with the controls, causing the pipes to burst and a wall to collapse, revealing their hidden location. They were soon submerged and Bivotar dove to get them, and put them in his leather pouch.
When they were delivered to Syovar, they shone with an inner light of their own: one fiery red, another sky-blue, and the other a shimmering white. He put them in the trophy case of the White House, leaning on the hilt of the Sword of Zork, reciting a spell in an unknown tongue. An arc of blindingly bright light lept between them and grew to encompass the entire room.
As the light faded, the heroes find themselves on a hill in the center of a vast plain, and the Warriors of Zork summoned. Under the leadership of Syovar, they fought against Krill. When Krill was defeated, the Palantirs evaporated. Syovar said that they have too much power for one mortal to control, and once they served their purpose to vanquish evil, they are best left for the gods.
